Volunteer Growers Help - What can go WRONG -
No Germination> Powdery Mildew> Collar-Rot> Moss> Ants> Slugs and Snails> Caterpillars or Grubs> Cutworms> Grasshoppers> Aphids> Birds> Possums> Cats> Uneven Growth> - WEEDS - I am not sure but things do not look right>
Every grower will occasiionally find something strange growing in a tube. Check out the aliens and then pull them out.
Longer term issues:-
Is there something about your location that is contributing to weeds? Do you have overhanging trees and shrubs, handy perches for birds where they may drop their droppings that contain nasty seeds from weeds? The last thing that landowners want is some plant from your suburban garden taking over their countryside.
