Volunteer at Working Bees

Working bees are the life blood of TreeProject. It is where growing kits are prepared and assembled by volunteers so that growers have everything they need to grow healthy seedlings. They are generally held every weekend in the months leading up to the distributions – from September until January. Check out the diary of events for dates.

Each year volunteers sterilize and re-use thousands of forestry tubes and polystyrene boxes. It is no small task. Jobs to be undertaken at the working bees include - sorting forestry tubes and boxes, preparing them for washing, soaking and hosing off tubes and boxes, stacking clean materials, clearing rubbish, bagging up fertiliser and gravel mulch.....and many other fun and rewarding tasks!

So come along to help out and have fun along the way. Lunch and/or afternoon tea is provided.
