Volunteer for Tree Planting

So you want to get involved in tree planting, perhaps even helping to organise a treeplanting day?

Tree planting  is one of the most fun activities to be involved in. You can get dirty, breathe some fresh air, have numerous conversations, meet lots of new people and get a great sense of achievement at the end of the day as you look back over the tree guards.

Most of our tree planting days are for registered landholders who have had seedlings grown for them by TreeProject volunteers. All are involved with long term revegetation projects, and are planting locally indigenous species.

Tree-planting season begins after the autumn break of rain (generally April) through until the end of Spring (generally October).

We are always looking for volunteers to attend tree-planting days which mainly occur 1-2 hours out of Melbourne on the weekends. We are also always keen to hear from energetic people who wish to help organise and promote details of the planting days and attend the tree planting days as supervisors.

We usually rely on volunteers making their own way out to a planting day - although someimtes we manage to car pool. Lunch is always provided, but it is important to wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring warm and wet weather gear, as you never know what the weather will bring.

If you would like to register yourself as a tree planter or organiser please give us a call at the office or send us an email. Once registered we will keep you informed of all tree planting days throughout Victoria.

Or  you can check our calendar of events for upcoming planting dates.  If you are interested in attending any dates, please let us know, so we can let the landholders know how many people to expect.
