Volunteer Growers Help - Growth stages and what needs doing
Just showing through> Double Sets of Leaves> Transplanting> Multiple Leaves> Root Pruning & Thinning> - MATURE SEEDLINGS -

Just because you have had them for some months remember  you still have things to watch out for.
Mature seedlings need to have their roots trimmed back on a regular basis.

Watch out for problems, watering issues, pests, weeds.

Then watch out for those individual plants that are not doing as well as their neighbours.

Need Rotating
Some seedlings may have been left getting  lots of sunlight from the same direction, boxes should be rotated and maybe small plants moved in the boxes to get more sunshine. Check each individual plant for pests or other reasons for irregular growth.

Too Much of a Good Thing - or not? - Enlarged photo>
Different Sized Plants
Some plants just look like they have been struggling while others are tall and straggly.
Those that are stunted probably need more sunshine, or a warm spot against a north facing wall.
If they are all growing tall and straggly like those on the right then maybe put them into a more shaded area.

Trees getting too big ?
Inform your Landholder and give him/her the opportunity to plant early if appropriate. Please do NOT pot them on, especially NOT into milk cartons. If your landholder is not ready for planting, ease back on the watering and put the trees in the shade.
